Biodiversity Information Service for Powys & BBNP
Biodiversity Information Service
BIS is one of four Local Environmental Record Centres covering Wales.
BIS provides a means to ensure that the best possible use is made of wildlife records - and that they directly contribute to the protection of wildlife.
The Brecon Beacons National
Park provides a home to a wide variety of species in the varied habitats and
landscapes within the park. This informative talk over Zoom will enable you
to get the right camera trap for your needs and allow you to set it up to see
the wildlife living locally to you. The different settings, lighting and PIR
sensitivities will be covered along with more detailed information on
sighting your camera and looking for clues to better locate your camera to
get more wildlife images and videos. There will be an opportunity to get
involved in a camera trap loan scheme.
This event is one of a series
BIS are running to promote the wildlife that makes its home within the Brecon
Beacons National Park (BBNP) and is thanks to funding from the Brecon Beacons
National Park and CLIF bar. Although it's focus is on the BBNP and promoting
wildlife to individuals and communities within the Park the topics covered
will be equally valid across Wales and the UK.
